The IPEL-D12V-IRW3 is a 12 megapixel indoor/outdoor vandal dome camera designed for high-resolution surveillance and intelligent on-device analytics. It combines a 1/1.7″ 12MP progressive CMOS sensor with advanced AI algorithms to capture detailed imagery in both day and night conditions. This unit is intended for applications that require superior identification and recognition ranges while maintaining low bandwidth overhead.
Key capabilities include a 2.7 mm to 12 mm motorized power zoom lens, Smart IR illumination for low-light clarity, and an AI suite that supports face and license plate recognition plus perimeter and object detection. The camera streams up to five concurrent streams and supports on-camera metadata generation to reduce server processing. It also features scalable compression options including H.265 and proprietary AI-enhanced codecs to optimize storage and network usage.
Technically, the camera delivers 4000 by 3000 pixel video at up to 30 fps on the main stream and sustains accurate color down to 0.0009 lux in starlight mode. Night illumination is provided by four IR LEDs rated to approximately 131 ft (40 m). DORI performance at the telephoto setting supports dependable facial recognition beyond 60 ft depending on scene conditions, and an internal 4 GB RAM and 8 GB ROM support on-board analytics and buffering.
Connectivity and compatibility include PoE+ (802.3at) or 12 VDC/24 VAC power options, RJ-45 10/100Base-T networking, ONVIF Profile S/G/T interoperability, and edge storage via microSD (up to 512 GB), FTP/SFTP or NAS. The camera supports standard network protocols including IPv4/IPv6 and common streaming methods like RTSP and RTMP for integration with VMS and cloud platforms. Mobile access is available via iOS and Android applications and ICRealtime management software.
Typical deployment scenarios include perimeter and entry monitoring where high-resolution identification is required, retail and facility surveillance for queue and people counting analytics, and parking or roadway monitoring where ANPR at speeds up to 37 MPH is needed. The camera’s AI reduces false positives through advanced IVS rules and enables local processing to limit bandwidth to central systems. On-site teams can rely on the D12V for tasks demanding both detection accuracy and image evidence quality.
Installation is straightforward: the compact vandal dome fits standard mount patterns and accepts screwdriver-fit mounting hardware for rapid deployment. The housing combines a metal body and polycarbonate dome rated IP67 for weather resistance and IK10 for vandal protection, with an operating range from -40 C to +65 C. Firmware update and security features including encrypted video and configuration options simplify long-term maintenance and data protection.
