The IPD-RS62-EZ-BK is a Dante-addressable 6.5 in coax open-ceiling network speaker designed to deliver low-latency digital audio over standard category cable. It integrates a 6.5 in coaxial driver and SoundTube BroadBeam Ring technology to ensure smooth high-frequency dispersion. The unit supports PoE/PoE+ power delivery and can also accept 24V DC for installations without PoE.
Key features include a coaxial transducer with BroadBeam Ring high-frequency dispersion, Dante network addressing, and bi-amp capability. The speaker supports networked control and zoning via software and accepts power and audio over RJ45 Ethernet or a 24V DC barrel connector. Hanging hardware and mounting accessories are included to streamline installation.
Performance specifications include a frequency response of 100 Hz – 20 kHz (±3 dB) and 80 Hz – 22 kHz (±10 dB), and a maximum output of 101. dB SPL at 1 m. The speaker has a total bi-amp power rating of 40 W, a measured directivity factor Q of 3.6 (average 100 Hz – 10 kHz) and 7.1 at 2 kHz, and a directivity index DI of 5.5 dB (average 100 Hz – 10 kHz) and 8.5 dB at 2 kHz. These metrics translate to controlled dispersion and consistent coverage in commercial spaces.
Connectivity options include an RJ45 Ethernet connector for Dante audio, PoE and PoE+ power, and a 24V DC barrel connector for non-PoE deployments. The speaker is configurable and zonable using SoundTube software or a compatible Dante management platform. It is compatible with STNet-Switch units and standard PoE/PoE+ network switches that support Dante audio transport.
Typical applications include background music, paging and voice evacuation, retail and hospitality audio, and public spaces requiring networked audio distribution. The IPD-RS62-EZ-BK is suitable for indoor or sheltered outdoor installations where networked audio, precise coverage and low-latency delivery are required. Its design supports consistent HF dispersion across listening areas, improving intelligibility and tonal balance.
Installation is simplified with included galvanized steel hanging cables, a hanging bracket, weather plug and a locking cover plate that enables direct-to-conduit mounting. The enclosure is injection-molded ABS with glass fiber reinforcement and an aluminum grille with a protective powder coat finish for durable indoor/outdoor performance. The speaker ships in recyclable packaging and has UL 1480 UEAY, UL 2239 and EN54-24:2008 planned.
