Description
The HT-EM-8K is an 8K HDMI EDID emulator that presents itself as an HDMI monitor to the source device. It emulates Extended Display Identification Data so PCs and laptops can complete the handshake required to output video. This resolves common handshake failures and display negotiation issues.
The unit ships with a default EDID that includes standard resolutions up to HDMI 2.0 including 4K@60Hz. A backup EDID mode supports higher rates including 4K@120Hz and 8K@60Hz and the device can be set to support HDMI 2.1 formats. A Learn button captures an attached monitor EDID or restores the built in default EDID.
Technically the HT-EM-8K supports both VESA and CEA video timing specifications and hides the sink EDID while presenting a stable EDID to the source. The emulator operates within an ambient range of 0 to 45 degrees C and offers ESD protection to ±8kV air and ±4kV contact. The compact unit measures 22mm x 52mm x 10mm and weighs 0.023kg.
Connectivity is simple and direct – a single male HDMI connector plugs into the source and a female HDMI connector connects to the display. The device is compatible with most HDMI-equipped PCs, laptops, media players and AV switchers that require reliable EDID negotiation. It supports standard HDMI cabling and common display formats defined by HDMI 2.0 and HDMI 2.1 where selected.
Typical applications include AV test benches, meeting rooms, digital signage installations and broadcast staging where a consistent EDID profile is required. The HT-EM-8K helps eliminate display negotiation delays and intermittent no-signal conditions by providing predictable EDID responses. It is beneficial where legacy sources or complex AV chains disrupt normal EDID exchange.
Installation is plug and play – insert between source and display and use the Learn button as needed to capture or restore EDID profiles. The small footprint and robust ESD protection make it suitable for rack or field use where space is limited. The HT-EM-8K delivers consistent display negotiation without software drivers or external power.

Air shipments, Overnight, 2nd day and 3 day select methods offer guaranteed delivery time for your shipment. If you are in hurry or in need for the items on schedule, select one of these methods.
