The HT-AIM-70-TX-WP is a single gang HDBaseT HDMI wallplate transmitter designed to extend HDMI video and control signals over a single category cable. It supports resolutions up to 4K@60Hz 4:2:0 8-bit and maintains HDCP 2.2 compatibility. The transmitter is intended to pair with HT-AIM-70-RX receivers to provide remote display connectivity.
The unit provides HDBaseT signal transmission over Cat5e/6 and Cat6A/7 cabling and supports Power over Cable so the transmitter can be powered by a compatible receiver. Control pass-through includes IR, CEC and RS232 over the HDBT link and firmware can be updated through the onboard RS232 port. The wallplate retains a slim single-gang footprint for discreet installation.
Video performance supports HDMI 1.4 at up to 4K@60Hz 4:2:0 8-bit with HDCP 2.2 enforcement. Typical transmission distances are 35m/115ft for 4K over Cat5e/6 and 40m/131ft over Cat6A/7 while 1080p distances extend further. The design prioritizes low latency to preserve real-time presentation and control responsiveness.
Connectivity includes an HDMI input, HDBaseT output and a rear RS232 port for control and firmware maintenance. IR pass-through is available one-way from transmitter to receiver while CEC commands are passed via the HDBT link. The transmitter is compatible with the HT-AIM-70-RX series and other HDBaseT receivers that support the same control and PoC profiles.
Common applications include meeting rooms and classrooms where sources are wall-mounted and displays are located remotely. It is also appropriate for digital signage, retail displays and hospitality AV where a discreet wallplate endpoint is required. The small profile simplifies integration into standard single-gang faceplates and finished walls.
Installation uses standard category cabling and a single-gang wall opening for fast deployment. The transmitter supports one-way PoC so it can be powered from the receiver when that function is available – reducing local power requirements.
