The Gefen 8×8 4K Ultra HD HDMI Matrix Switcher is a compact matrix designed to route up to eight HDMI sources to eight HDMI displays. It supports 4K DCI and 4K Ultra HD signals and preserves advanced audio formats and HDCP compliance. This unit provides a rack-friendly footprint with surface-mountable options and a clear front-panel display.
Key capabilities include independent routing of eight sources to eight outputs, support for resolutions up to 4096 x 2160 at 24 Hz and 3860 x 2160 at 60 Hz in 4:2:0, and pass-through of 3D and Deep Color. The matrix supports LPCM 7.1 and HBR audio formats such as Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio. Advanced EDID management and Lip Sync pass-through simplify integration with a variety of source devices and displays.
Performance specifications include a maximum pixel clock of 300 MHz and 12-bit Deep Color support up to 1080p. The matrix is HDCP 1.4 compliant and supports DVI sources or displays via HDMI-to-DVI adapters. The front-panel display and status LEDs provide clear routing and lock indicators for system monitoring.
Connectivity options include eight locking HDMI inputs, eight locking HDMI outputs, a mini-B USB port, DB-9 RS-232, and an RJ-45 Ethernet port for IP control. The unit can be controlled via front-panel buttons, the included IR handheld remote, RS-232, Telnet, UDP, or the built-in web server interface. Gefen Syner-G software assists with initial IP discovery and Show-Me configuration tasks.
Typical applications include digital signage installations, control-room switching, corporate AV distribution, and educational AV systems where multiple 4K sources must be delivered to multiple displays. The matrix is suited to environments that require audio format fidelity and straightforward EDID handling. Air shipments, Overnight, 2nd day and 3 day select methods offer guaranteed delivery time for your shipment. If you are in hurry or in need for the items on schedule, select one of these methods.
