The GefenToolBox 6×2 HDMI Matrix switcher is a compact 6-input 2-output HDMI matrix designed to route up to six Ultra High Definition sources to two Ultra HD displays. It supports resolutions up to 4Kx2K 3840×2160@30Hz and preserves Deep Color and 3D pass-through. The unit is surface-mountable and designed for installations where small form factor and multiple control options are required.
Key features include Fast Switching Technology – FST for accelerated HDCP authentication, advanced EDID management, and support for lossless audio formats such as LPCM 7.1, Dolby TrueHD, and DTS-HD Master Audio. The matrix provides two TOSLINK optical outputs for feeding audio processors or AV receivers. Front-panel push-buttons, IR remote, RS-232, Telnet/UDP, and a built-in web server provide multiple control paths.
Performance specifications include a maximum pixel clock of 300 MHz and support for 12-bit Deep Color and 3D content. The device handles HDMI input locking connectors and offers stable HDMI output to Ultra HD displays. Power consumption is rated at 20 Watts maximum and the unit is powered by a locking 5V DC supply.
Connectivity is comprehensive with six Type A HDMI inputs, two Type A HDMI outputs, two TOSLINK optical audio outputs, one Mini-USB port for firmware updates, an RS-232 DB-9 serial port, and an RJ-45 Ethernet port for IP control. The matrix also includes an IR sensor and a remote extender jack for flexible installation. Locking HDMI connectors and a locking DC power connector provide secure physical connections.
Typical applications include small-scale AV installations such as home theaters, retail signage, sports bars, conference spaces, galleries, and hotel lobbies where routing of HDCP-compliant Ultra HD content is required. The unit is also suitable for multiroom distribution where two displays require source selection from multiple HDMI sources. Optical audio outputs simplify integration with external audio processors and receivers.
Installation and operation are straightforward – connect sources and displays using HDMI cables, configure EDID using the front-panel controls or web interface, and route sources via front-panel buttons or remote control.
