The GEN10-R1 is a compact HD/SD sync generator designed to provide a stable master time base for broadcast and professional video systems. It produces synchronized reference signals for both SD and HD workflows and includes an AES-11 reference output. The unit is optimized for installations that require multiple synchronized outputs from a single, accurate source.
Key capabilities include HD tri-level sync generation and SD sync selectable between color black and 75% color bars. The device provides seven outputs arranged into two independently switchable groups allowing simultaneous HD and SD sync distribution. The AES-11 output can be set to silent or to a 1 kHz tone for audio reference checks.
The GEN10-R1 supports a broad set of video formats including 1080i, 1080PsF, 1080p, 720p, and standard SD 625i and 525i rates. The HD tri-level mode covers 19 HD formats currently in use and the unit maintains an accuracy of 3 ppm for reliable timing. AES-11 audio reference operates at 48 kHz and offers selectable silent or tone output levels.
Control and configuration are handled via an external DIP switch array for straightforward field setup and predictable behavior. Power is provided via a +5-18 VDC input and the GEN10-R1 ships with a compatible power supply. The compact housing and locking power connector make it suitable for rack, monitor, or camera-attach mounting where space is limited.
Typical applications include synchronizing cameras, routers, converters, and recorders across SD and HD systems without the need for a separate sync distribution amplifier. The unit can provide a complete facility or remote truck with matching reference signals from a single device. Its AES-11 option also allows combined audio and video reference checking for end-to-end signal verification.
