Description
The FP-NML2P is a Dante network audio interface that converts two Dante channels to professional mic or line outputs. It provides balanced analog outputs sized to industry line level and switchable mic-level taps. The unit is designed for continuous-duty installation in racks, closets, tables and backboards.
Each output delivers a nominal +4 dBu at -18 dBFS with more than 18 dB of headroom and a 24-bit digital-to-analog converter. Outputs are balanced on detachable terminal blocks and each channel includes a recessed mic/line switch that provides 50 dB attenuation for direct connection to microphone inputs. The converter mutes outputs automatically when digital channels are inactive to eliminate noise during silent channels.
The FP-NML2P supports Dante over 100 Mbps Ethernet and standard sample rates of 44.1 kHz and 48 kHz with 24-bit depth. Distortion is below 0.1% THD+N and the noise floor is better than -80 dB with outputs active and -95 dB when muted. Crosstalk is below the noise floor across the audio band and frequency response is 20 Hz to 20 kHz ±0.5 dB.
Connectivity includes an RJ45 Dante network connector with link and speed indicators and two balanced detachable terminal block outputs. Power options include PoE Class 0 IEEE 802.3af or an external 24 Vdc supply and a 24 Vdc pass-through jack for sharing power with compatible RDL amplifiers. Front-panel indicators include Ethernet Link, Speed and SYNC LEDs for easy system monitoring.
The FP-NML2P integrates with commercial amplifiers, mixers and DSP systems to adapt standard audio amplifiers to a Dante network. Typical applications include distributed paging, audio distribution in retail or hospitality, conference AV and retrofit projects where networked audio must feed mic inputs or pro line inputs. The recessed mic/line switches make it easy to match local equipment input sensitivity without external pads.
The unit is built in a durable all-metal enclosure suitable for surface or rack mounting and engineered for reliable continuous operation. Setup is straightforward using Dante Controller for channel routing and the unit supports normal or hot-standby PoE operation. The design emphasizes low noise, low distortion and long-term reliability in commercial installations.
