The FiDO-TR is a compact 1-channel 3G-SDI to single-mode LC fiber transceiver designed to extend SDI signals up to 10 km. It provides electrical isolation to eliminate ground loop issues and supports 3G/HD/SD-SDI formats for professional broadcast and live production environments. The small, low-profile enclosure fits behind monitors, on camera rigs, and in tight equipment spaces.
Key features include a duplex LC fiber connection, bidirectional dual-channel fiber operation, and full SMPTE compliance for SDI signals. The converter supports video data rates from 150 Mbps to 3 Gbps and offers automatic reclocking for standard SDI rates. Power is flexible at 5-20VDC and a universal power supply is included.
Performance details include nominal fiber wavelengths and optical specifications suitable for long-distance single-mode links. Optical sensitivity and overload thresholds provide reliable link margins for typical broadcast fiber runs. Reclocking is provided for common SD, HD, and 3G rates while other rates are passed through without reclocking.
Connectivity consists of BNC 3G-SDI input and output plus a duplex single-mode LC fiber port meeting SMPTE-297. The unit is compatible with standard SDI infrastructure and fiber patching systems used in OB vans and studio environments. A locking power connector and optional P-TAP cable support secure power in the field.
