The FC-69 is a compact HDMI audio embedder and de-embedder designed to add or extract audio in HDMI-based AV systems. It embeds analog stereo into the HDMI output or de-embeds audio from the HDMI input or the HDMI ARC channel. The unit supports Ultra-HD signals and provides reliable HDCP handling for mixed-source installations.
The FC-69 supports audio embedding even when no HDMI source is present and can route de-embedded audio simultaneously to S/PDIF and unbalanced stereo outputs. The device supports ARC and uncompressed HDMI audio channels, plus deep color and CEC. Front-panel DIP-switches allow selection of embedding, de-embedding, EDID and HDCP modes for fast configuration.
Performance-wise the unit supports up to 8.91 Gbps total bandwidth and 2.97 Gbps per graphic channel, enabling 1080p@60Hz and 36-bit deep color operation. The product is HDCP compliant and compatible with Ultra-HD signals up to 4096×2160 resolution. Kramer equalization and re-Klocking technology rebuilds the HDMI signal to improve distance and signal integrity.
Connectivity includes one HDMI input, one HDMI output, one S/PDIF RCA output and one unbalanced stereo 3.5 mm output, plus a 3.5 mm stereo input for embedding. The unit supports ARC audio extraction from the HDMI output and can select audio sources via DIP-switches. LED indicators provide status for ON, IN, OUT and HDCP activity to aid troubleshooting.
Typical use cases include integrating legacy audio processors into modern HDMI systems, extracting audio for recording or streaming devices, and embedding background music or commentary into an HDMI video feed. The FC-69 is suitable for conference rooms, classrooms and broadcast assist applications where separate audio routing is required. It supports common AV workflows that require simultaneous digital and analog audio outputs.
Installation is straightforward thanks to a compact DigiTOOLS form factor and DIP-switch configuration for EDID and HDCP control. The unit is powered by an included 5V DC supply and uses passive convection cooling for quiet operation. The aluminum enclosure and rubber feet provide a stable platform for furniture mounting or optional rack mounting with an RK-3T adapter.
