The FC-332 is a compact format converter that accepts a single 3G HD-SDI input and provides two HDMI outputs and an SDI loop. It supports embedded audio and HDTV signals and is designed for integration into broadcast and pro AV signal chains. The unit is small enough for desktop use or rack mounting in groups.
Key features include conversion of SDI/HD-SDI/3G HD-SDI to HDMI, a looping SDI output for monitoring or downstream devices, and a rotary switch for selecting embedded audio groups. The converter supports standard data rates and provides LED indicators that show input format and unit status. The design emphasizes consistent signal translation and straightforward operation.
Performance supports SDI standards up to 3 Gbps and complies with common broadcast SMPTE formats. Supported data rates include 270 Mbps, 1483.5 Mbps, 1485 Mbps and 2970 Mbps, enabling compatibility with SD, HD and 3G workflows. The device preserves embedded audio and passes HDTV formats to HDMI displays.
Connectivity consists of one BNC SDI input, one BNC SDI loop output and two HDMI outputs, plus a 5V DC power input. HDMI outputs carry converted video and embedded audio. The unit is HDTV compatible and reports input type via colored LEDs for quick troubleshooting.
Typical use cases include converting camera or switcher SDI outputs to HDMI monitors, feeding HDMI recorders while maintaining an SDI feed for broadcast gear, and extracting selected embedded audio groups for monitoring. The FC-332 is suitable for OB vans, control rooms, small studios and presentation systems. It simplifies integration where SDI and HDMI devices coexist.
Installation is straightforward – the FC-332 can be powered by the supplied 5V DC adapter and placed on a shelf or mounted using the optional RK-3T rack adapter in a 1U space alongside two other DigiTOOLS units.
