The EZ-MX4MLX is a compact four-input stereo audio mixer designed to combine two microphone sources and two line-level sources into a single stereo output. It provides balanced XLR mic inputs that supply phantom power for condenser microphones and unbalanced RCA and mini-jack line inputs for consumer and pro line sources. The unit is engineered to deliver transparent audio with extended headroom and accurate level monitoring.
Key features include two balanced microphone inputs on XLR that supply 24 V phantom voltage, two separate line inputs on RCA plus an additional mini-jack option, and an unbalanced stereo output on RCA. Each input channel has its own level control with substantial mic gain and line trim range, and dual-LED VU metering for left and right channels simplifies gain staging. Gold-plated RCA connectors help maintain reliable signal transfer and reduce corrosion over time.
Technically, the mic inputs present 1.2 kΩ balanced impedance and support mic-level signals to -11 dBu max. Line inputs offer greater than 10 kΩ impedance with -10 dBV nominal and up to +20 dBV maximum. Frequency response extends from 80 Hz to 40 kHz on mic inputs and 10 Hz to 20 kHz on line inputs, while THD+N remains below 0.1% for mic signals and below 0.05% for line signals across the audio band.
Connectivity is straightforward with two XLR mic jacks, two RCA line jacks, one mini-jack line input, and stereo RCA outputs. Metering is provided by dual-LED VU meters calibrated to -10 dBV output for accurate monitoring of left and right levels. The mixer accepts 24 Vdc power and draws minimal current, including a measured increase when phantom power is enabled.
