The EZ-MPA2X is a compact dual microphone preamplifier designed to convert two mic-level signals to stereo line-level outputs. It provides front-panel level controls and dual-LED VU meters for visual monitoring of each channel. The unit is optimized for both dynamic and condenser microphones and offers switch-selectable phantom power on the rear panel.
Core features include balanced left and right XLR microphone inputs, switchable 24 V phantom power, and front-panel compressor enable/disable switches. Each channel has an individual LEVEL control providing up to 50 dB of gain. The compressors offer up to 20 dB of reduction to limit peaks and prevent clipping during high-level bursts.

Outputs are unbalanced on RCA or 3.5 mm mini jack, providing a nominal -10 dBV line output and maximum output levels that depend on compression state. Metering is calibrated to -10 dBV output and provides clear visual feedback for setting operating levels. The unit accepts standard rear-panel input and output connections to integrate with mixers, amplifiers, and recording interfaces.
The EZ-MPA2X fits a 1/3 rack width case and ships in a cardboard box suitable for rack shelf or desktop installations. It draws low current from a 24 Vdc power supply with typical idle and maximum currents listed for system planning. The concise footprint and rugged construction make it suitable for permanent installs and portable rigs alike.
