The EXT3-U3-T transmitter and EXT3-U3-R receiver form a HDBaseT USB extender kit designed to extend USB 3.2 Gen1 (5 GBps) communications over standard CATx cabling up to 100 meters. The system converts a local USB host signal into an HDBaseT USB stream and restores it at the remote receiver. It supports plug & play operation with no configuration required, providing a straightforward extension solution for high-throughput USB devices.
The extender supports USB3 devices as well as legacy USB2.0/1.1 endpoints and supports interrupt, bulk and isochronous transfer modes. The receiver unit acts as a USB hub for up to three USB-A devices and also extends RS232 control and an FSYNC video sync signal for camera frame synchronization. Power delivery is handled over the CATx cable using PoE+ either as PSE or PD so only one side needs a power source.
Performance specifications include USB3.2 Gen1 throughput at 5 GBps and an HDBaseT USB extension link capable of 100 meter reach over CATx. The receiver and transmitter consumption figures are provided for system planning and the transmitter is supplied with a 12V DC, 2A power adapter. Status LEDs for LINK and ON facilitate easy troubleshooting at the units.
Connectivity options include an RJ-45 CAT port on both transmitter and receiver, a USB-B host connector on the transmitter, three USB-A device ports on the receiver, and a 3-pin terminal block for RS232 serial control. The system supports remote USB charging behavior depending on which side supplies power and supports PoE+ charging modes for both transmitter and receiver as specified.
