Description
The EXT3-H-R is an HDBaseT 3.0 HDMI receiver designed to convert incoming HDBaseT signals into HDMI and control outputs. It receives uncompressed 4K60 4:4:4 HDR video and forwards control data for display and peripheral management. The unit is built for installation at the receive end of copper twisted-pair AV links where reliable long-distance HDMI extension is required.
The receiver supports HDR and HDCP 2.3 and passes EDID and CEC between source and display to preserve image and audio fidelity. It supports deep color, x.v.Color, lip sync, Dolby TrueHD, DTS-HD and up to 32 channels of uncompressed digital audio. The HDBaseT 3.0 interface provides compatibility with standard HDBaseT-compliant extenders and supports both standard and high compression extension modes.
Performance capabilities include a maximum aggregated data rate up to 18 Gbps and support for HDMI 2.0b features such as 4K@60Hz 4:4:4, HDR10 and 3D formats. Extension ranges vary by compression and resolution – up to 40m (130ft) at 4K@60Hz 4:4:4 using standard compression and up to 70m (230ft) under selected high compression or lower-resolution modes. Latency remains near-zero since video is transmitted uncompressed over the HDBaseT link.
Connectivity includes one HDMI output, one HDBaseT 3.0 input, bidirectional RS-232 via a 3-pin terminal block and bidirectional IR via a 3.5mm mini-jack. Status LEDs indicate IN, OUT, LINK and ON conditions to simplify troubleshooting. The unit accepts a 12V DC, 2A power supply and supports local firmware updates via RS-232 for field upgrades.
Typical applications include conference rooms, boardrooms, control rooms, hotel AV, houses of worship and any installation that requires reliable long-distance HDMI extension. It can be deployed as the receive endpoint for matrix switchers and integrated switchers that include HDBaseT 3.0 outputs. The support for multichannel uncompressed audio and professional control interfaces makes it suitable for both presentation and digital signage systems.
Installation is simplified by the compact DigiTOOLS enclosure which allows dropped-ceiling mounting or side-by-side 1U rack mounting with an adapter. The passive convection cooling and aluminum chassis provide quiet, maintenance-free operation. LED indicators and DIP-switch controls enable quick setup and local diagnostics for AV technicians.

Most items ordered from AVProSupply will be shipped out from our California Warehouse. Will-Calls are only allowed with Appointment Only - Please call Customer Service to set one up between the hours of 9am to 6pm PST.
