Description
The EXT3-C-WP-XR-T is a wall plate HDBaseT 3.0 transmitter designed to extend HDMI video, USB, Ethernet, RS-232 and IR control over a single twisted pair cable. It accepts a DP Alt Mode USB-C source and can deliver up to 60W charging over USB-C PD. The unit is built to fit a standard WW 2-gang in-wall box for clean room and podium installations.
This transmitter passes uncompressed 4K@60Hz 4:4:4 HDMI signals and supports HDCP 2.3 and HDR10 for accurate image reproduction. It mirrors the HDMI input to a local loop output for a nearby display and supports multi-channel audio including Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD. The device also provides USB 2.0 extension, 1 Gbps Ethernet extension and bidirectional RS-232 and IR control.
Performance specifications include an 18 Gbps HDMI data rate, 4K@60Hz 4:4:4 24bpp resolution support and HDBaseT 3.0 compliance. USB extension handles up to 480 Mbps with an available transmitted bandwidth of up to 300 Mbps. The extender reaches up to 90m (295ft) over recommended Kramer HDBaseT cabling when used with compatible receivers.
Connectivity is provided via a USB-C DP Alt Mode input with PD 3.0 charging, an RJ-45 HDBT output, HDMI loop output, two USB 2.0 Type-A device ports, a 1 Gbps LAN RJ-45 port, RS-232 terminal block and a 2-pin IR terminal block. The transmitter can be powered locally or remotely via PoE from a compatible PoE provider. LED indicators give quick status information for HDMI, Loop, HDBT, PoE and USB host activity.
Typical applications include conference rooms, boardrooms and training facilities where clean wall-plate installations are required. The unit supports BYOD workflows by allowing presenters to connect DP Alt Mode USB-C laptops and tablets while receiving power and network connectivity. Its CEC DISPLAY ON button offers convenient remote display power control for presentation workflows.
Installation is straightforward and intended for professional integrators and AV technicians. The aluminum enclosure uses fan ventilation and fits standard in-wall boxes for fast mounting and tidy integration with room furniture.
