The EXT3-21-XR-TR is an HDBaseT 3.0 extender that converts and transmits HDMI, USB, Ethernet, RS-232 and IR signals over twisted-pair copper cabling. It operates as either a transmitter-side converter or a receiver-side auto-switcher to suit flexible deployment. The unit supports uncompressed 4K@60Hz 4:4:4 video and extends signals up to 100m over CAT cables.
Key capabilities include HDMI mirroring to a loop output, auto input switching based on user preferences, and switchable USB 3.2 host selection to connect room cameras and peripherals. The extender passes HDCP 2.3, EDID and CEC and supports HDR10, deep color and multi-channel uncompressed audio. Bidirectional PoE powering over the HDBaseT line and LAN PoE support simplify power and cabling in the field.
Performance specifications deliver up to 18 Gbps total bandwidth (6 Gbps per graphic channel) and 4K@60Hz 4:4:4 24bpp resolution compliance with HDMI 2.0b signaling. The USB subsystem supports USB 3.2 Gen 2 at up to 10 Gbps and extends USB 2.0 traffic up to 480 Mbps with a transmitted data bandwidth allowance of up to 300 Mbps. Ethernet is extended at 1 Gbps and serial RS-232 is supported at baud rates from 300 to 115200.
Connectivity is comprehensive with HDBT RJ-45, HDMI IN/OUT, HDMI loop, USB-B host, three USB-A device ports, balanced stereo analog audio on a 5-pin terminal block, LAN 1000BaseT RJ-45, RS-232 terminal block, 3.5 mm IR, GPIO and relay terminals. The built-in intelligent control gateway supports IP-driven control, CEC, RS-232, IR, I/O and relay control methods. I-EDIDPro EDID management and remote firmware upgrade ensure compatibility and ongoing maintenance.
This extender is suited to conference rooms, lecture halls and shared spaces that require integrated AV and USB device sharing between local and remote participants. It enables hybrid meeting workflows by switching AV and USB hosts to route content to both in-room displays and online participants. The device also supports digital signage and AV distribution scenarios that require long-reach HDMI and control extension.
Installation and maintenance are simplified by PoE powering options, a fanless MegaTOOLS aluminum enclosure, and rack/ceiling/table mounting options. Status LEDs for HDMI, Loop, HDBT and USB host facilitate local troubleshooting while embedded web pages and API control support remote management. Overall construction and control features make the unit practical to deploy and maintain in professional AV environments.
