The USB 2.0 SR Extender set provides a simple hardware solution to relocate USB 2.0 peripherals up to 50 meters / 165 ft over a single CAT-5e cable. This extender includes a Sender unit that connects to the host and a compact Receiver unit that supplies a full-size USB Type-A output. It supports both USB 2.0 and USB 1.1 device classes without requiring software drivers.
Key features include full 480 Mbps USB 2.0 throughput, support for industry-standard CAT-5e or better cable, and plug-and-play operation for Windows, macOS and Linux systems. The Receiver’s Type-A port can supply up to 2 A at 5 V to power connected devices. Both Sender and Receiver feature status LEDs for link and power indication.
Performance specifications include a maximum USB 2.0 speed of 480 Mbps and extension distance up to 50 m / 165 ft using a single shielded RJ-45 link. Power consumption is minimal at 0.65 W for the Sender and 0.8 W maximum for the Receiver. Environmental ratings cover +32F to +122F operating temperature and wide humidity tolerances for reliable operation in AV environments.
Connectivity is straightforward – the Sender uses a USB Type B input and the Receiver provides a USB Type A output, linked via shielded RJ-45. The unit is compatible with standard USB hubs though adding a hub may reduce the maximum extension range to approximately 40 m. No drivers are required and the units maintain compatibility with common USB peripherals including printers, scanners, storage and standard webcams.
Typical applications include remote USB access for digital signage, kiosks, industrial control, security and data acquisition systems. The extender is suitable for connecting printers, scanners, external drives, optical burners and USB cameras across distances where direct USB cabling is impractical. It enables desktop peripherals to be relocated without complex software or network configuration.
Installation is quick and hardware-based – connect the Sender to the host USB port, run a shielded CAT-5e cable to the Receiver and connect the USB peripheral. The compact metal enclosures can be hidden or rack-mounted as needed and provide shielding against EMI/RFI. LEDs indicate link and power status to simplify commissioning and troubleshooting.

Air shipments, Overnight, 2nd day and 3 day select methods offer guaranteed delivery time for your shipment. If you are in hurry or in need for the items on schedule, select one of these methods.
