The EXT-UHD600A-12-DS is a compact 1×2 HDMI scaler and splitter designed to distribute full-bandwidth HDMI 2.0 video and audio to two displays while providing audio de-embedding and advanced EDID control. It accepts a single HDMI 2.0 source and delivers simultaneous outputs at mixed resolutions. The unit supports HDR formats and HDCP, ensuring modern content compatibility.
The device supports 18.2 Gbps throughput and a 600 MHz TMDS clock, which enables 4K resolutions up to 60 Hz with 4:4:4 chroma sampling where supported. Each HDMI output contains an independent scaler so one display can receive a downscaled 1080p signal while the other receives 4K. A built-in TOSLINK optical output and an analog 3.5 mm L/R jack provide de-embedded audio for external amplifiers or distribution systems.
Video performance includes support for Cinema-DCI 4096 x 2160 at 60 Hz and 4K Ultra HD 3860 x 2160 at 60 Hz with HDR support for HDR-10 and Dolby Vision. HDCP 2.2 and HDCP 1.4 are supported for protected content. The unit also supports 1080p, WUXGA 1920 x 1200, 3D pass-through, and up to 12-bit Deep Color at 1080p.
Audio handling preserves uncompressed LPCM up to 7.1 channels and High Bit Rate formats including Dolby Atmos, Dolby TrueHD, DTS:X, and DTS-HD Master Audio through the HDMI outputs. The optical and analog outputs provide 2-channel PCM or multichannel bitstream options depending on the source. An internal EDID Detective with Gefen Syner-G interface simplifies matching source and display EDID for reliable signal negotiation.
The unit is built in a low-profile enclosure with locking HDMI connectors and a locking DC power jack for secure installations. It is surface-mountable and designed to be installed out of sight in AV racks, under counters, or behind displays. Firmware updates are available via the Gefen Syner-G USB Mini-B port to keep the unit current with new source and display behaviors.
This scaler/splitter is appropriate for digital signage, meeting rooms, entertainment venues, and hospitality installations where mixed-resolution displays or separate audio distribution are required. It provides straightforward, largely plug-and-play operation while offering the EDID and audio extraction controls AV integrators rely on. Most items ordered from AVProSupply will be shipped out from our California Warehouse. Will-Calls are only allowed with Appointment Only - Please call Customer Service to set one up between the hours of 9am to 6pm PST.
