The Gefen EXT-UHD600-18 is a 1×8 HDMI splitter engineered to distribute Ultra HD content to multiple displays while preserving image fidelity. It accepts a single HDMI source and reproduces 4K and DCI cinema resolutions at full frame rates and color accuracy. The product is designed for AV professionals who require consistent signal integrity across dozens or hundreds of screens when used in cascaded systems.
This splitter supports 4K 60 Hz at 4:4:4 chroma subsampling where applicable and HDR formats that extend dynamic range and color depth. It supports HDCP 2.2 and HDCP 1.4 to ensure compatibility with protected Ultra HD sources and legacy devices. The unit also carries a 600 MHz maximum pixel clock and handles multi-channel digital audio including LPCM 7.1 and HBR codecs such as Dolby Atmos and DTS:X.
Performance specifications include support for DCI 4096 x 2160 at 60 Hz 4:4:4 and 4K Ultra HD 3840 x 2160 at 60 Hz 4:4:4 when source and displays permit. HDR support includes 10-bit Deep Color at 4K 60 Hz 4:2:0 and 4K 24 Hz 4:4:4, with 12-bit Deep Color support at 1080p 60 Hz 4:4:4. The splitter is engineered for cascading – typically up to 10 layers without HDR and up to 4 layers with HDR – enabling large signage and distribution installations.
Connectivity includes one locking HDMI Type A input and eight locking HDMI Type A outputs, with outputs 1 and 2 providing Long Reach Power (pin 18) at 5V and 500 mA to power select extenders. A USB Mini-B port provides EDID and firmware management via Gefen Syner-G software. Front-panel LEDs indicate power, input status, outputs, and EDID/audio status, and an EDID/Audio selector switch enables rapid integration.

The EXT-UHD600-18 supports DVI sources and displays up to 1080p and 1920×1200 via adapters, ensuring backward compatibility.
