The EVU-2082/95 is an ultracompact two-way loudspeaker designed to deliver clear speech and musical reproduction in tight spaces. It combines dual 8 in woofers and a centered compression driver to provide full-range output from a small trapezoidal enclosure. The cabinet geometry and rotatable waveguide allow precise aiming and low-profile mounting.
Key features include two FEA-optimized 8 in mid-bass drivers in a vented enclosure and a 1.3 in titanium diaphragm compression driver on a 90 x 50 rotatable waveguide. The passive 3rd-order crossover and built-in equalization deliver smooth vocal response and linear off-axis behavior. An acoustic crossover frequency of 2,400 Hz ensures coherent mid/high transitions.
Performance highlights cover a Frequency Range (-10 dB) of 60 – 20000 Hz and a Frequency Response (-3 dB) of 100 – 16000 Hz, with a calculated max SPL of 126 dB at 1 m. Nominal impedance is 8 ohms and sensitivity is 95 dB (1 W/1 m). System power handling is specified as 350 W continuous and 1400 W peak, supporting demanding program material.
Connectivity is provided via 4-pin Phoenix/Euroblock screw terminals suitable for up to 10 AWG wire, and the rear panel accepts an optional 70.7/100 V transformer kit for distributed systems. Suspension and mounting options include six M8 threaded points, a universal U-bracket for unobstructed rotation, and additional rear mounting points compatible with Omnimount-type brackets. The rotatable waveguide supports adjustable coverage orientation.
Typical applications include under-balcony fills, sidefill and stage lip monitoring, and in-room background/foreground reinforcement where discreet installation is required. The speaker is engineered for intelligibility and even coverage in speech-dominated venues and smaller performance spaces. Its compact footprint and aimed coverage make it suitable for houses of worship, corporate auditoria, and performing arts venues.
Installation and build quality emphasize professional use – the EVU series uses 9-ply hardwood plywood construction finished in textured white paint and an 18-gauge steel grille with cloth backing. Six integral M8 suspension points and a supplied U-bracket simplify rigging and aiming. Protection circuitry on the HF section and robust crossover topology ensure reliable long-term operation.
