The EVU-1082/95 is an ultracompact two-way loudspeaker designed to deliver clear speech and musical reproduction in a small, lightweight enclosure. This on-wall/under-balcony speaker combines an optimized 8 in woofer and a rotatable constant-directivity horn to provide focused coverage. Its compact trapezoidal cabinet maintains tight clearances to walls and ceilings – making it unobtrusive in installed environments.
Key features include an ICT-1-8 1.3 in titanium compression driver and an FEA-optimized ICT-8-8 8 in woofer for high sensitivity and intelligibility. The rotatable 90 x 50 horn allows orientation of the HF coverage to match room geometry. A 3rd-order passive crossover with equalization ensures a smooth vocal range and consistent off-axis response.
Performance specifications include a frequency range of 65 – 20000 Hz (-10 dB) and a stated frequency response of 110 – 16000 Hz (-3 dB). The system has a nominal impedance of 8 ohms and calculated maximum SPL of 123 dB at 1 m. Power handling is specified as 175 W continuous, 700 W peak, and the axial sensitivity is 95 dB (1 W @ 1 m).
Connectivity is handled via a 4-pin Phoenix/Euroblock screw terminal that accepts up to 10 AWG wire for secure connections in fixed installations. The enclosure provides six M8 suspension points for a variety of mounting positions and includes a U-bracket for unobstructed rotation. An optional 70.7/100 V transformer kit can be fitted over the input panel for use in distributed systems.
Typical applications include foreground and background music playback and speech reinforcement in hospitality spaces, retail environments, houses of worship, and theatres. The rotatable horn and trapezoidal cabinet make it suitable as a sidefill, stage lip monitor, or under-balcony fill speaker. The white textured finish allows it to blend into light-colored interiors while a black option is also available.
Build quality is oriented toward pro installation – the cabinet is constructed from hardwood plywood and finished in textured paint for durability. The front is protected by an 18-gauge steel grille with cloth backing and the internal protection circuitry helps ensure long-term reliability. The included U-bracket and multiple suspension points simplify precise aiming and secure mounting in permanent installs.
