The EVOLVE 50 column speaker sub is a powered portable subwoofer and column array designed to deliver full-range sound for live and installed applications. It combines a ported 12 inch subwoofer with an eight-driver column to provide controlled coverage and punchy low end. The system is driven by a 1000 W Class-D amplifier and QuickSmartDSP to ensure consistent performance.
Key components include a 12 inch sub capable of a functional low-frequency output to 37 Hz and eight 3.5 inch neodymium drivers in the column array. The array and sub deliver a maximum SPL of 127 dB and use composite waveguides to create 120 degrees horizontal coverage and 40 degrees asymmetrical vertical coverage. The system provides dedicated LF and HF channel power ratings of 500 W each and a crossover at 200 Hz for reliable band separation.
Processing and control are handled by QuickSmartDSP with four factory presets (Music / Live / Speech / Club), three-band EQ, and five user-programmable presets for stored settings. Additional features include output delay, visual limiter monitoring, input level controls and meters, phantom power (+15V) on the input, and master volume for optimal gain structure. Bluetooth control via QuickSmart Mobile uses Bluetooth Low Energy for configuration and monitoring of multiple systems.
Connectivity includes dual XLR/TRS combo inputs, a 3.5 mm aux input, stereo RCA inputs, Bluetooth audio input (available in select countries), an XLR THRU output and an XLR MIX OUT output. The signal is internally routed between components for fast setup and reliable operation. The sub pole uses a magnet-assisted connection and the column array is gravity-held to the pole for intuitive assembly.
The EVOLVE 50 sub and column are suited to a range of applications including mobile performers, corporate A/V, houses of worship, and small- to medium-sized venues. Its asymmetric vertical coverage is optimized to reach both seated and standing audiences while minimizing ceiling reflections and providing even audience coverage. Bluetooth audio streaming and mobile control add convenience for background music and system management during events.
Built for portability, the sub enclosure is 15 mm plywood while the column uses a composite construction and an aluminum pole for strength and reduced weight. A steel grille is available in black or white powder coat and the system ships with a carrying bag for the pole and column sections. QuickSmartDSP presets and neodymium drivers deliver a robust performance in a compact, user-friendly package.
