The EVID-P6.2 pendant loudspeaker is a two-way ceiling/pedestal style transducer designed for distributed audio systems – it delivers clear voice and music reproduction from a compact pendant enclosure. The speaker combines a 6.5 in low-frequency driver with a 1 in titanium dome high-frequency transducer to deliver broad frequency response and reliable speech intelligibility. The system is engineered for constant-voltage and low-impedance systems to support a variety of commercial audio installations.
Key features include an internal line-matching transformer with selectable power taps, a 2nd order crossover with driver protection, and a corrosion-resistant titanium dome tweeter for extended HF performance. The front-access tap selector is reachable after removing the magnetic grille, enabling fast reconfiguration without disassembly. The loudspeaker also uses a ported, internally damped enclosure to balance LF extension and controlled dispersion.
Performance specifications support a rated frequency range of 60 Hz to 20 kHz and a sensitivity of 87 dB SPL at 1 W/1 m – providing efficient output for background music and paging. The coverage pattern averages 115 degrees conical across the mid/high band to give wide area coverage. Power handling is specified at 75 W on an 8 ohm input and the internal protection network guards drivers against excessive input levels.
Connectivity options include an 8 ohm bypass and selectable 70 V/100 V transformer taps offering 1.8 W (70 V only), 3.7 W, 7.5 W, 15 W and 30 W settings – selectable via a front baffle switch. The rear enclosure provides a four-pin terminal block for direct 12 AWG connection and feed-through to additional speakers. The system supports common commercial audio infrastructures and is compatible with standard paging and background music amplifiers.
Typical applications include retail and hospitality zones requiring unobtrusive pendant mounting, open-plan commercial spaces that need wide dispersion, and architectural projects where ceiling mounting is impractical. The EVID-P6.2 reproduces spoken word and music with clarity while offering installation flexibility for multi-speaker arrays. Installation is simplified by rear-mounted suspension points and a magnetic grille that allows fast access to the tap selector – simplifying commissioning and service. The enclosure, bezel and baffle are molded from UL94V-0 rated ABS and the grille is powder-coated steel for corrosion resistance and aesthetic consistency. CE and UL 1480A/CSA approvals support code-compliant installations and long-term reliability in commercial environments.
