The Electro-Voice EVF-2151D-FGB is a dual 15 inch front-loaded subwoofer designed to deliver controlled low-frequency output in a weather-resistant fiberglass enclosure. It is engineered for fixed install and outdoor environments where reliable bass reinforcement is required. The cabinet and components are specified to withstand direct exposure to sun, rain, fog, and snow – ensuring long-term performance.
Key features include two DVX3159A 15 inch woofers, a front-loaded acoustic design, and a full-face powder-coated steel grille with acoustic foam backing. The drivers use FEA-optimized motor and suspension designs to minimize distortion and maintain intelligibility at high SPL. An externally accessible jumper allows selection between passive and active operation.
Performance specifications include a wide frequency response and high SPL capability. The nominal frequency response is specified around 40 Hz to 2.6 (–3 dB) and the system maximum SPL is 137 dB (calculated at 1 m). Continuous/program/peak power handling is listed as 1000 W / 2000 W / 4000 W and sensitivity is 101 dB at 1 W/1 m.
Connectivity is handled via a Euroblock input connector; PI and FG versions include provision for dual gland-nut input panel covers for weatherized installations. An optional 70.7/100 V transformer kit is available for distributed systems. The cabinet includes 28 M10 threaded suspension points and ships with an EBK-M10-EVI kit of forged eyebolts for rigging.
