The EVF-1152D/96-FGW is a fully weatherized two-way point-source loudspeaker designed for medium-throw sound reinforcement in exposed environments. It combines a 15in low-frequency driver and a 3in titanium compression driver on a rotatable 90 x 60 waveguide to deliver focused coverage. The enclosure is fiberglass coated over birch plywood for long-term outdoor durability.
Key features include a rotatable Constant Directivity horn, a high-output titanium compression driver, and an FEA-optimized 15in woofer to provide clean, intelligible output at high SPL. The internal crossover uses steep 24 dB/octave slopes with equalization to smooth vocal response and maintain linear off-axis behavior. A dynamic protection circuit guards both low and high frequency transducers against thermal overload.
Performance specifications include a broad audible response and high sensitivity to support sustained levels up to 131 dB SPL (calculated). The system power handling is rated at 600 W continuous with a 2400 W peak capability, and the acoustic crossover is set at 1300 Hz. Nominal impedances are 8 ohms for passive operation and the minimum impedance is 6 ohms.
Connectivity and operation are adaptable for fixed installs – the input panel accepts dual four-pin 10 AWG Phoenix/EuroBlock terminals and includes a CDG dual-gland-nut cover for weatherized connections. An externally accessible jumper selects passive or active operation and an optional 70.7/100 V transformer kit can be mounted for distributed systems. Mounting and rigging use M10 threaded suspension points for flown arrays or fixed installs.
