The EVF-1152D/96 is a two-way point-source loudspeaker engineered to deliver clear vocal intelligibility and controlled directivity in mid-near field medium throw applications. It combines a 15in low-frequency driver and a 3in titanium compression driver on a rotatable 90 x 60 waveguide to provide consistent coverage. The enclosure is compact and trapezoidal, designed for both flown arrays and ground-stacked setups.
Key features include a 15in FEA-optimized woofer, a DH7N 3in titanium compression driver, and a 90 x 60 constant-directivity rotatable horn. The internal crossover is a steep 4th-order design with HF protection and an acoustic crossover point at 1300 Hz. A dynamic protection circuit safeguards both driver paths against thermal overload for long-term reliability.
Performance highlights show a very linear frequency response across the vocal band and extended low-end capability, with a published frequency response range and strong sensitivity. System power handling is specified as 600 W continuous, 1200 W program, and 2400 W peak, with maximum calculated SPL around 134 dB. The internal passive crossover and switchable bi-amp/passive operation provide flexibility in system tuning.
Connectivity is handled via a Phoenix-style input panel with provisions for dual NL4 or gland-nut covers for weatherized installations. An externally accessible jumper selects passive or active operation and a transformer kit is available for 70.7/100 V distributed systems. The cabinet and input options ensure compatibility with common pro audio workflows and installation requirements.
Typical applications include fixed-installation venues, small- to mid-size performance spaces, houses of worship, and corporate AV systems where consistent medium-throw coverage and vocal clarity are required. Built from 13-ply weather-resistant birch and coated with EVCoat for environmental protection, the EVF-1152D/96 offers robust build quality and serviceability. The grill uses galvanneal or stainless options with hydrophobic cloth to protect the transducers. Installation is simplified by multiple M10 suspension points, an easy external mode switch, and a straightforward input panel design.
