The EVF-1122D/96-FGW is a fully-weatherized two-way point-source loudspeaker designed for high-quality sound reinforcement in exposed installations. It combines a 12in low-frequency transducer and a 3in titanium compression driver on a 90 x 60 constant directivity waveguide. The enclosure is fiberglass-coated over weather-resistant birch for long-term outdoor durability.
Key features include a FEA-optimized 12in woofer, a 3in DH7N titanium compression driver, and a rotatable 12in x 12in constant directivity horn. The integrated passive crossover uses steep 24 dB/octave slopes with HF protection and an acoustic crossover at 1,300 Hz. A dynamic protection circuit provides thermal protection for both driver paths.
Performance specifications include a very linear response across the vocal range, system power handling rated at 600 watts continuous and 2,400 watts peak, and a calculated maximum SPL of 131 dB. Nominal impedance is 8 ohms and sensitivity is 97 dB at 1 W/1 m. Coverage is 90 degrees horizontal by 60 degrees vertical for controlled dispersion.
Connectivity is handled via a Phoenix-style input panel supporting up to 10 AWG wire and includes an externally accessible jumper for passive or bi-amp operation. The input panel supports optional NL4-type covers or gland-nut covers for weatherized installations. A transformer kit can be mounted for 70.7/100-V distributed systems.
This model is suitable for a broad set of applications including permanent outdoor installations, amphitheaters, houses of worship, and stadium fill zones where full exposure to sun and rain is expected. The rotatable horn and compatible rigging allow vertical or horizontal arrays using EVF and EVH series loudspeakers. The enclosure and stainless steel hardware are specified for salt-air and high-humidity environments.
Installation is simplified with multiple M10 rigging points and optional flying hardware for flown arrays or secure wall mounts. The rugged construction, powder-coated stainless steel grille backed with acoustic foam, and fiberglass finish reduce maintenance while maintaining acoustic integrity.
