The EVF-1122D is a compact, arrayable two-way loudspeaker designed for professional sound reinforcement. It combines a 12in low-frequency transducer and a 3in titanium compression driver mounted on a 90 x 40 constant directivity horn for controlled dispersion. The enclosure is weather-resistant and coated for enhanced durability.
Key features include an FEA-optimized 12in woofer, a DH7N 3in titanium compression driver, and a rotatable CD horn enabling flexible vertical or horizontal arraying. The integrated fourth-order crossover with HF protection and switchable bi-amp or passive operation ensures smooth vocal response and long-term reliability. System power handling is robust with continuous, program, and peak ratings for demanding applications.
Performance specifications deliver wide bandwidth and high output: very linear response from 49 Hz to 21 kHz and a calculated maximum SPL of 131 dB at 1 m. The acoustic crossover point is 1,300 Hz and sensitivity is 97 dB at 1 W/1 m. Nominal impedance is 8 ohms in passive mode and the recommended high-pass frequency is 65 Hz.
Connectivity is handled via a Phoenix-style input panel with support for up to 10 AWG conductors and options for dual NL4 or gland-nut covers for weatherized installations. An externally accessible jumper selects passive or active operation and an optional 70.7/100 V transformer kit can be mounted to the input panel for distributed audio systems. Standard input panels include Euroblock connections and weather versions include dual-gland-nut covers.
The EVF-1122D suits fixed installations, small touring rigs, and systems requiring compact arrayable point-source elements. Typical applications include houses of worship, theaters, corporate A/V, and small-to-medium live venues where controlled coverage and speech intelligibility are required. Arrayable horn geometry and multiple horn pattern options allow integration with other EVF/EVH series elements.
Installation and build quality focus on long-term reliability – the trapezoidal enclosure is 13-ply weather-resistant birch with EVCoat and a galvanneal or stainless steel grille option with hydrophobic cloth. Suspension uses 22 M10 threaded points and one kit of four forged eyebolts is included. The overall design simplifies inventory and system design while offering robust protection against environmental exposure.
