The ECS1552P is a cloud managed 48-port Gigabit PoE+ switcher designed to deliver centralized network control and reliable PoE power to edge devices. It supports Layer 2+ switching capabilities and provides enterprise-class features to optimize SMB and enterprise LANs. The unit includes four 10-Gigabit SFP+ uplink ports to carry aggregated traffic to core switches or fiber networks.
Key features include full PoE+ support across all 48 ports with a 410W total PoE budget and PoE Extended Mode allowing powered devices at extended distances up to 250 meters. The device supports PD Lifeguard for automated device health detection and auto-reboot of PoE power and offers Continuous PoE Power to maintain camera operation during firmware upgrades. Hybrid management options let administrators choose cloud-based management or local on-premises control depending on deployment needs.
On the performance side, the switcher provides Layer 2+ routing features, a large MAC table, jumbo frame support up to 10K, multicast group handling, and 176Gbps switching capacity. Memory resources include 512MB SDRAM and 128MB flash memory to support configurations and firmware. QoS, ACLs, DHCP snooping, ARP inspection and IPv4/IPv6 static routing options help enforce traffic policies and secure the network.
Connectivity includes 48 10/100/1000Base-T Ethernet ports and four dual-speed 10G SFP+ fiber uplink ports. Management methods include cloud portal, web GUI over IPv4/IPv6, SSH/CLI, SNMP v1/v2c/v3 and RMON support. Standard port indicators and LEDs provide visual status for power, PoE, LAN mode and link/activity per port.
Common deployment scenarios include powering IP cameras, VoIP phones and wireless access points while aggregating traffic to a fiber backbone. The switcher supports link aggregation and VLAN tagging to segment and scale campus or branch networks. Its PoE reliability features are targeted at continuous surveillance and voice deployments that require minimal downtime.
The ECS1552P is built for rack mounting in network closets and comms rooms and operates across a broad temperature and humidity range. Configuration backup, firmware upgrade options and certificate import support streamline maintenance and security operations.
