The ECS1528P is a cloud-manageable Layer 2+ network switch designed to deliver reliable gigabit connectivity and PoE+ power across medium and large deployments. It provides 24 10/100/1000Base-T Ethernet ports with PoE+ support and four dual-speed 10Gb SFP+ uplink ports. The switch supports both cloud and on-premises management to match administrative models and deployment requirements.
Key features include a 240W total PoE budget that supplies power to connected devices, PoE Extended Mode that increases deployment range, and PD Lifeguard for automated detection and recovery of non-responsive powered devices. Continuous PoE Power ensures cameras and other devices keep receiving power during firmware upgrades or reboots. The Layer 2+ feature set delivers VLAN, QoS, ACLs, and multicast controls for optimized traffic handling.
Performance details include support for standard Ethernet port speeds, full-duplex flow control, a MAC address table sized for typical enterprise use, and hardware resources such as 512MB SDRAM and 128MB flash. The unit reports ARP entries, static routes and supports IPv6 addresses alongside IPv4 features. Switching capacity and resource allocation are tuned to maintain throughput for mixed data and powered device traffic.
Connectivity options include 24 RJ45 gigabit ports with PoE+ across ports 1-24 and four 10-Gigabit SFP+ uplinks for fiber aggregation or high-speed server links. Management interfaces include an intuitive web GUI accessible via HTTP/HTTPS, CLI via SSH or Telnet, SNMP v1/v2c/v3 monitoring, and EnGenius Cloud provisioning and remote troubleshooting. LEDs provide status for power, faults, PoE, link/activity and speed per port.
Typical applications include IP video surveillance where continuous PoE and PD Lifeguard maintain camera availability, enterprise wireless deployments powering access points and aggregating traffic, and small data center edge switching where 10Gb uplinks are required. The switch supports VLANs, IGMP/MLD snooping, and QoS to prioritize latency-sensitive streams. Hybrid management options let integrators choose centralized cloud monitoring or local control during sensitive installations.
Installation is simplified with standard rack-mount form factor, comprehensive management options and scripting via CLI for configuration automation. The device supports security and operational features such as 802.1X RADIUS authentication, ACLs, DHCP snooping and SNTP for time synchronization.
