The ECS1008P is a cloud-managed 8-port Gigabit PoE Layer 2+ switch designed to deliver reliable power and connectivity for small and medium networks. It provides eight 10/100/1000 Mbps RJ45 ports and supports 802.3af PoE across all ports with a total 55W budget. The product supports both cloud and on-premises management options to match administrative requirements and network architecture.
Key features include full Layer 2+ switching functionality, a 16 Gbps switching capacity and support for jumbo frames up to 9K. The switch includes real-time system metrics and deep-dive analytics for remote monitoring and troubleshooting. Administrative control is available via EnGenius Cloud, SkyKey, ezMaster and a local web GUI.
Under the hood the ECS1008P includes 256MB SDRAM and 32MB flash, an 8K MAC address table and Layer 3 features such as multiple IP interfaces and IPv4/IPv6 static routing. ARP table capacity and static ARP entries are sized for small enterprise deployments. These specifications provide stable packet forwarding and efficient LAN segmentation for common SMB workloads.
Connectivity is centered on eight Gigabit Ethernet ports with per-port link/activity/speed LEDs and additional LED indicators for power, fault and PoE status. The unit reports PoE mode and PoE max indicators to help with power planning. Power is supplied by a universal AC input supporting 100 to 240VAC at 50-60Hz.
This switch is well suited to PoE device aggregation such as IP cameras, VoIP phones and wireless access point backhaul. Typical deployments include branch offices, retail locations and small campus networks where budgeted PoE distribution and remote management are required. The device supports both cloud-based and local management workflows to fit different operational models.
Installation and operation are straightforward with multiple management interfaces and a compact rack-friendly footprint. The chassis and LED layout simplify onsite diagnostics while cloud analytics enable remote troubleshooting and firmware management.
