Description
The DS-RT2 is a compact two-button remote selector designed to provide discrete ON / OFF control of audio and video sources. It uses a stainless steel front plate and two momentary pushbuttons to select and indicate state. The front panel LEDs show the current selection to provide a clear visual status.
The device provides single-button selection for ON and for OFF with adjacent LEDs for immediate feedback. Each button is momentary and the associated LED indicates the selected mode – green for ON and red for OFF. The selector uses open-collector outputs for reliable triggering of downstream devices.
Technically, the DS-RT2 requires a ground-referenced 24 Vdc supply and draws approximately 30 mA. Open-collector outputs are provided for both ON and OFF and are rated to 25 mA maximum each. The unit is specified to operate in ambient temperatures from 0° C to 55° C and connects via a detachable terminal block.
Connectivity supports simple remote wiring using a single shielded pair or a 3-conductor cable for single-output trigger scenarios. For richer control networks both ON and OFF outputs may be used and 3-wire or 4-wire wiring is supported. The DS-RT2 is compatible with RDL switching modules such as ST-SSR1, ST-RX2 and TX-MVX and pairs with RDL remote volume controls.
Typical applications include remote enabling or disabling of audio sources, remote control of video switching paths, and installation alongside wall-mounted volume controls. It is well suited to broadcast control rooms, conference spaces, and AV closets where a clear ON / OFF remote selection is required. LED status and simple wiring make it suitable for repetitive operator workflows.
Installation is straightforward – the DS-RT2 mounts in a standard US electrical box and accepts a detachable terminal block for power and outputs. The stainless steel faceplate and professional aesthetic complement other RDL wall controls and the unit is designed for long-term reliability in professional AV environments. Status LEDs and momentary pushbuttons simplify operator training and system diagnostics.
