The DS-RCX1 is a Decora style room control panel designed to provide simple local control of audio source selection and level. It is intended to pair with RDL RCX series room combiners and fits standard WB-1U wall boxes. The control integrates pushbutton operation and an LED level readout for straightforward operation.
The front panel provides durable long-life pushbuttons for Up and Down volume control and a pushbutton to select between Music and Local inputs. The unit supports combined local microphone or line-level inputs when used with compatible RCX combiner systems. An LED meter provides visual feedback of level adjustments to help maintain consistent room audio.
Physically the control uses an all-steel faceplate and rear enclosure in a Decora form factor to match commercial wall plate standards. The DB-RCX1 mounts in an RDL WB-1U wall box and multiple RCX controls may be connected within a single room for distributed control points. The pushbuttons are rated for long life to withstand frequent use in public and installed environments.
Connectivity is provided via the RCX system wiring interface when integrated with the RCX-5C room combiner; the control communicates source selection and level commands to the combiner. The unit is compatible with local microphones and line-level music sources as supported by the RCX combiner. No external power supply is required beyond the RCX system connections.
This control is ideal for classrooms, meeting rooms, houses of worship, and other spaces where simple source selection and level adjustment are required at the wall. It allows end users to select Music or Local sources and adjust listening level without accessing rack-mounted equipment. Multiple wall controls can be used to provide consistent control across a facility.
Installation is straightforward – mount the control in an RDL WB-1U wall box and connect to the RCX combiner wiring harness. The steel Decora faceplate provides rugged protection and a commercial appearance for installed environments. The DS-RCX1 delivers reliable, easy-to-use local control and a clear LED level indication for consistent room audio management.
