Description
The DS-RC4ST is a wall-box mounted remote control panel designed to operate an RDL ST-SX4 audio switcher. It provides four momentary pushbuttons and LED indicators that show the currently selected unbalanced audio source. The unit is intended to be mounted in a standard US electrical box and presents a professional stainless steel front.
The front panel includes four pushbuttons and four red LEDs, one LED per button, to indicate the selected source. On power-up the unit selects source 1 by default and the LEDs reflect the active selection. Buttons are momentary and immediately switch the connected ST-SX4 to the corresponding input when pressed.
Control connections are made to the ST-SX4 POWER and CTRL terminals using a three-conductor cable or a single shielded pair as required. The DS-RC4ST interfaces directly with the ST-SX4 control inputs and can be daisy-chained using the SLAVE output on the ST-SX4 for stereo installations. Power is ground-referenced 24 Vdc as specified for the ST-SX4 control circuit.
The remote is optimized for unbalanced audio selection and offers a clean user interface for source switching in installed systems. Wiring requirements are minimal and the control signals are solid-state through the ST-SX4 switcher module. The red LED indicators provide clear visual feedback of the active source at a glance.
Typical applications include small presentation rooms, background music zones, and AV racks where wall-mounted source selection is needed. It is suitable where one ST-SX4 module controls one output and where a second ST-SX4 can be added for stereo by using the SLAVE/CTRL chaining method. The stainless steel finish matches common faceplate aesthetics in commercial installations.
Installation is straightforward and follows standard low-voltage control wiring practices. The DS-RC4ST mounts in standard US electrical boxes or compatible RDL WB or SMB series boxes and accepts optional cover plates.
