The Active Faceplate Assembly is a replacement faceplate designed to provide directed cooling airflow for an active faceplate power supply. It integrates four built-in fans to move air across internal components and reduce operating temperatures. This assembly is intended to replace the original faceplate when increased airflow is required in warmer environments.
The assembly’s primary features include four built-in fans and a faceplate form factor that preserves mounting alignment and service access. Fans are oriented to create active airflow through the power supply enclosure and help maintain stable thermal conditions. The design maintains the original footprint so rack or chassis integration remains unchanged.
Technically, the assembly uses an integrated fan array to increase convective cooling and reduce component junction temperatures. Fan count and placement are optimized to produce airflow across heat-generating areas of the power supply. Power for the fan array is supplied via the proprietary interface designed for the active faceplate power supply.
Compatibility is focused and straightforward – the assembly mates to the specified active faceplate model using the original mounting points. Mechanical mounting uses four mounting holes aligned to the existing chassis openings. Electrical connection is handled through the unit’s proprietary interface to ensure correct fan power and control signaling.
Typical applications include broadcast racks, production environments, and AV installations where elevated ambient temperatures or dense equipment layouts increase thermal load. The assembly helps maintain reliable operation in tight rack spaces and reduces the risk of thermal-related shutdowns. Air shipments, Overnight, 2nd day and 3 day select methods offer guaranteed delivery time for your shipment. If you are in hurry or in need for the items on schedule, select one of these methods. Up-to-date tracking information is provided with each Air Shipment. AVProSupply has the right to choose between Air shipments to meet or reduce delivery time.
