Description
The DB-RC2ST is a two-channel wall-mount remote control designed to select between two audio or video sources or to route audio to two destinations. The unit provides a simple front panel with two momentary pushbuttons and corresponding red LEDs to indicate the active channel. It is intended for integration with RDL switching and routing modules to provide remote source selection.
Each channel is controlled by a dedicated pushbutton and an adjacent red LED that shows which source is selected. Upon power-up, source 1 is selected by default and pressing the second button immediately switches to source 2. The DB-RC2ST uses open-collector outputs to trigger external modules and limits output current to 25 mA.
Power is ground-referenced 24 Vdc, and the control accepts a detachable terminal block connection for power and outputs. The unit is rated for ambient operation from -10 C to 55 C and is designed to mount in a standard US electrical box. Open-collector outputs provide simple switching and can be used individually or together in more complex networks.
Connectivity is provided via a detachable terminal block that carries the power input and the open-collector outputs. Typical installations use a single shielded pair or a 3-conductor cable to trigger one output, reducing wiring complexity. The DB-RC2ST is compatible with RDL ST-SSR1 solid-state audio switches, RDL TX-MVX video switches, RDL ST-RX2 audio routers, and integrates with RUC-4 when ULTRASTYLE wall controls are preferred.
The control is commonly used to select between two audio sources in small conferencing systems, route audio to separate destinations in distributed audio installations, or provide manual video source selection in simple AV setups.
