The DB-NMC1R is a networked rotary volume remote that provides local volume and mute control plus networked command execution. It pairs a mechanical rotary encoder with a full-color 240 x 240 pixel LCD to present clear level and menu feedback. The unit is PoE powered to simplify installation and fits a standard US electrical box.
The control knob adjusts attenuation in precise 1 dB steps from 0 to 64 dB and supports programmable acceleration for rapid level changes. Momentary push mutes or unmutes with screen indication while a long push opens the installer menu for Bluetooth control or PRESET selection. PRESETS can execute routings, device level settings and RDL CONSOLE command sequences across multiple Dante devices.
Network connectivity uses an RJ45 port with 100 Mbps transmission and LED status indicators for link and speed plus a front-panel power indicator. The display returns to a dimmed state after inactivity and menu sections may be locked by installer-programmable passcodes. The unit is field-upgradable to receive firmware enhancements and configuration is performed in RDL CONSOLE.
Connectivity and compatibility include control of RDL D-RN and DD-RN series products and other Dante-enabled devices. The DB-NMC1R sends level commands and can display attenuation reported by network audio devices when supported. Bluetooth control provides pause/resume and track selection for local sources presented to the networked system.
Typical applications include distributed audio zones where local user control and networked presets are required, paging or background-music zones needing shared volume tracking, and conference or hospitality environments requiring passcode-protected menu access. Multiple DB-NMC1R units can control the same target devices while remaining active and tracking display status. Network bandwidth typically supports up to four remotes per zone for coordinated control.
Installation requires only a standard US electrical box and a PoE-capable network drop using IEEE 802.3af Class 0 power. The menu-driven interface and mechanical-detent encoder simplify daily use while RDL CONSOLE handles installer setup, preset programming and acceleration tuning. The DB-NMC1R combines precise attenuation control, Dante-compatible preset execution and tidy PoE installation for professional AV deployments.
