The D-RCX2 is a Decora-style wall-mounted room control designed to provide simple source selection and volume adjustment for an RCX-5C room combiner system. It places pushbutton source selection between MUSIC and LOCAL under a rotary optical encoder knob. The encoder includes an LED virtual pointer to indicate level settings.
The control features long-life pushbuttons for selecting Music or Local inputs and an optical rotary encoder for setting audio level. The encoder’s LED readout provides clear visual feedback of the volume position. One or two D-RCX2 units may be connected in the same room for flexible placement and control.
Technically, the unit provides analog source selection for microphone and line-level audio and local music source selection. The rotary encoder controls the room audio level and the LED pointer indicates the setpoint. The front panel and rear enclosure are constructed of steel for durable installation in a high-use environment.
Connectivity is optimized for in-room control and integrates with the RCX-5C room combiner architecture. The D-RCX2 mounts in an RDL WB-1U wall box and connects to system control wiring provided by the combiner system. It does not provide signal routing itself but provides clear user control over source selection and level.
Typical applications include conference rooms, classrooms, houses of worship, and multipurpose facilities where room-level selection between background music and local paging or microphone sources is required. Installers can place one or two controls per room to suit room layout and user access. The device keeps user interaction simple and intuitive for non-technical operators.
Installation is straightforward and intended for in-wall mounting in a standard WB-1U wall box. Air shipments, Overnight, 2nd day and 3 day select methods offer guaranteed delivery time for your shipment. If you are in hurry or in need for the items on schedule, select one of these methods.
