The CLS-AOCU/CH-98 is an active optical USB-C to HDMI cable designed to carry 4K video signals across long distances while preserving image and audio integrity. It supports up to 4K@60Hz at 4:4:4 chroma and maintains transparent EDID and HDCP handling for reliable source and display negotiation. The cable architecture minimizes signal attenuation and reduces electromagnetic and radio frequency interference risk.
Key capabilities include an 18Gbps data rate, HDR support and compatibility with HDCP 2.2 and 1.4. Audio is embedded and supports multi-channel PCM plus advanced lossless formats for high-fidelity playback. The cable uses polymer insulated glass fibers and tinned copper conductors to combine optical distance with necessary copper grounding and power paths.
Performance specifications include support for RGB and YCbCr color spaces plus extended formats such as xvYCC and BT.2020.
