The CL3800NW is a 1U dual-rail LCD KVM console that integrates an 18.5in Full HD LED-backlit widescreen display with a slideaway keyboard and touchpad. It is designed for short-depth 19in racks and shallow equipment cabinets where space is at a premium. The unit enables local server access and monitoring in constrained environments – including OB vans and compact control rooms.
The console supports three selectable video input types – HDMI, DVI-D, and VGA – and presents a 1920 x 1080 @ 60 Hz display on the integrated panel. The dual-rail design allows the LCD and the keyboard/touchpad modules to operate independently, and the keyboard/touchpad can slide back into a hideaway position. An integrated LED illumination light provides low-light visibility for the keyboard and touchpad.
Technical specifications include an 18.5in TFT-LCD panel, 350 cd/m2 luminance, 1000:1 contrast ratio, 16.77M color support, 20 ms response time, and 178 degree viewing angles. The console accepts input resolutions up to 1920 x 1200 @ 60 Hz (DDC2B) on external displays. Power requirements are 100-240V AC, 50-60 Hz, 1A with typical power consumption of 26.6W to 26.8W depending on input voltage.
Connectivity is extensive for a short-depth console – external console ports include HDMI, DVI-D, VGA (HDB-15), dual USB Type-A and a 3.5mm audio jack. KVM side connectors mirror the external console ports and include HDMI, DVI-D, HDB-15, USB Type-B and audio. A front-panel USB Type-A port supports a hot-pluggable mouse or USB peripheral, and the unit provides firmware upgrade and external console support ports.
The CL3800NW is suited to broadcast mobile production, live streaming vans, compact server rooms, and control rooms where rack space is limited. It allows direct single-server connection plus operation via an external console, enabling flexible workflows and quick access during deployment. The console lock secures the drawer in transport or storage situations, reducing the risk of accidental opening.
Installation is straightforward using the included standard rack mount kit and supports hot-plugging and firmware upgrades. The metal housing and rack-ready 1U form factor are designed for reliability in professional environments.
