The CI7.3X is an 8 in three-way in-ceiling speaker that delivers extended low-frequency response and refined midrange clarity. It pairs a woven glass-fiber woofer with precision soft-dome midrange and variable-axis tweeter designs. This speaker is engineered to reproduce music and movie soundtracks with accurate balance and controlled dynamics.
Key features include a 1 in variable-axis soft dome tweeter, a 1.5 in ultra-linear soft dome midrange, and an 8 in woven glass-fiber woofer with an NBR surround. The three-way crossover implements Absolute Phase design to preserve transient integrity and imaging. Sensitivity and impedance characteristics are optimized for a wide range of amplifiers.
Performance specifications include a measured frequency response of 38 Hz – 22 kHz (+/- 3 dB) and a sensitivity of 92 dB (1 W / 1 M). Nominal impedance is 8 Ohm and recommended amplifier power ranges from 15 to 200 W. These metrics provide strong output capability and headroom for both music and cinematic content.
The CI7.3X is a passive loudspeaker compatible with standard residential and commercial AV amplification. It installs into a 9.625 in cutout with a 5 in mounting depth and fits an 11 in diameter exterior. The micro-flange white grille is powder-coated galvanized steel to provide a low-visibility aesthetic while maintaining durability.
Typical applications include in-ceiling home theater arrays, distributed background music systems, and professional installations requiring discreet ceiling-mounted loudspeakers.
