The ADDERView CCS-MV 4228 is a desktop 4K multi-viewer switcher that provides simultaneous KVMA access to up to eight computers from a single workstation. It combines real-time 4K video, keyboard, mouse and audio switching to present multiple sources on one or two displays. Automatic mouse-based switching allows instant control of any connected computer by moving the pointer between tiled windows.
Key features include hybrid DisplayPort and HDMI inputs enabling single-head and dual-head source connections, preset and custom window layouts, and dual output ports for extended or mirrored display modes. The system supports copy-and-paste between Windows 10 hosts and a digital audio mixer to manage HDMI audio channels. Channel ID, configurable LED indicators and window border colors reduce operator error when monitoring multiple sources.
Performance supports UHD 4K 3840×2160 at 4:4:4 chroma sampling and 30 fps with 8 bpc colour depth, preserving clarity even when multiple windows are tiled. The unit offers emulated USB 2.0 HID ports for fast keyboard and mouse switching plus a hi-speed USB 2.0 port for storage and isochronous devices. Analog audio output is provided via a 3.5 mm jack and a selectable audio hold assigns audio to a channel independently of KVM control.
Connectivity is flexible with eight hybrid DP/HDMI dual-mode computer inputs and two dual-mode console outputs for DP and HDMI. Console ports include two USB A HID emulation and one hi-speed USB A for peripherals, plus an RS232 serial RJ12 port for remote control integration. The CCS-MV 4228 integrates with ADDERLink INFINITY matrices to expand source reach across an IP matrix network.
This multi-viewer is suited to control rooms, broadcast monitoring, live production and operational centers where multiple systems must be monitored and controlled from a single workstation. It supports Windows, Linux and macOS hosts and can be used to view and operate a mix of single- and dual-head computers. The digital audio mixer and audio hold features allow operators to listen to a specific source while working on another.
The unit is built in robust metal construction and fits a 2U rack position or desktop use with an internal fan for temperature regulation. Front panel features include multi-color status LEDs and an e-paper display for channel information.
