The CAB-UAOC-USBC-10 is a 10m/32.8ft active optical USB-C cable engineered for professional AV and broadcast use. It combines high-bandwidth video, high-speed data and Power Delivery in a single USB Type-C connection. The cable is optimized for installations that require reliable, long-reach links between hosts and displays.
The cable uses an adaptive 2-lane or 4-lane USB-C Alt Mode architecture that negotiates DP2.1 or DP1.4 modes depending on the connected devices. Dual MCU chip technology manages the lane allocation automatically to maintain compatibility with a wide range of hosts and monitors. This approach minimizes handshake failures common to fixed-mode AOCs and simplifies system deployment.
Performance includes up to 10Gbps per lane configurations and support for DP2.1 video bandwidth enabling 5K at 60Hz or 4K at 120Hz depending on host capabilities. The cable supports up to 20Gbps aggregated data throughput and offers 60W Power Delivery on lengths between 5m and 10m. The physical construction features Kevlar reinforcement and a flexible TPE jacket for durability and consistent signal integrity.
Connectivity is via USB Type-C male plugs on both ends and supports both DP Alt Mode and USB data channels according to the negotiated lane mode. The cable is compatible with hosts and displays that implement DP2.1 or DP1.4 Alt Mode profiles and with USB hosts that expose USB 3.2 Gen2x2 or USB2.0 lanes as negotiated. Plug-and-play operation requires no user configuration beyond standard USB-C/Alt Mode negotiation.
This cable is suited to conference rooms, broadcast studios, training facilities and AV integration projects where long cable runs and high-resolution video are required.
