The CAB-HAOC-20 is a 20m active optical HDMI cable engineered to deliver uncompressed HDMI over long distances. It preserves native HDMI communication while providing a full 24Gbps transmission capacity. This cable is intended for installations that require pixel-perfect video and full two-way HDMI metadata support.
The cable supports HDMI 2.0 class bandwidth and beyond using a 4-core passive optical transmission architecture. It carries HDR formats including HDR10, HDR10+, Dolby Vision, HLG and PQ, and supports gaming features such as ALLM and VRR. The design also supports ARC and CEC, preserving device interoperability in complex AV systems.
Performance metrics include a maximum transmission rate of 24Gbps, an end-to-end latency of approximately 10us, and a maximum data rate of 22.28Gbps reported per HDMI link. Supported maximum video modes include 4K60 4:4:4 10-bit HDR, 5K30 4:4:4 10-bit HDR and 2560x1440p at 144Hz. Audio support covers PCM, multichannel LPCM, DTS-X and Dolby Atmos with sampling rates to 192KHz and up to 32 channels.
Connectivity is via standard 19-pin HDMI Type A and HDMI Type D connectors and the cable preserves EDID and HDCP pass-through up to HDCP 2.3. The HAOC supports 100Mbps Ethernet pass-through where applicable and is uni-directional – observe signal flow during installation. The cable is engineered to resist EM and RF interference and features kevlar-protected communication cores and aluminum connector housings.
Typical applications include residential and commercial AV installations requiring long HDMI runs, professional signage and digital display systems, and gaming or home theater systems needing HDR and VRR support. It is suited to installations where native HDMI features and metadata integrity are required across long distances. The cable is also useful where copper cabling would be affected by electromagnetic interference.
Installation is straightforward but requires observing the uni-directional signal flow and respecting the 2cm maximum bend radius and 15kg pull tension limit. The cable is passive to the host source for power and requires no external power supplies. Build quality includes aluminum connector housings, kevlar reinforcement and ISF-verified optical transmission integrity to support calibration and image fidelity.
