The CAB-HAOC-15 is a 15m active optical HDMI cable engineered to deliver full-bandwidth HDMI signals over long distances. It uses active optical cable (AOC) technology to maintain uncompressed video and audio integrity across runs where copper cabling would be susceptible to interference. The cable supports modern HDR formats and advanced color spaces to preserve source fidelity at the display end.
The cable supports up to 4K60 at 4:4:4 8-bit and HDR formats including Dolby Vision and HDR10 where applicable. It supports multichannel audio including LPCM and immersive formats up to Dolby Atmos and DTS-X. Encoding is AOC with an 18Gbps data rate and zero end-to-end latency for time-sensitive AV applications.
Physical and performance specifications include a 600MHz maximum pixel clock and support for DCI, RGB, BT.2020 and BT.2100 color standards. The 20mm head width is designed to feed through conduits while solid alloy heads and gold-plated connectors ensure a reliable mechanical interface. The cable handles operating temperatures from -10C to 50C and stores safely between -20C and 60C.
Connectivity is straightforward with 1x HDMI 19-pin Type A male on each end and support for HDMI control layers including TMDS, EDID, CEC, ARC and Ethernet. HDCP 2.2 compatibility is included to ensure playback of protected 4K UHD content. Power is sourced passively from connected HDMI ports within a 4.5v to 5.5v range and maximum consumption is 250mW.
This AOC cable is intended for installations that require long-distance uncompressed HDMI transmission and immunity to electromagnetic and radio frequency interference. Typical applications include professional AV racks, integration with matrix switchers and splitters, digital signage, and AV systems where copper runs would be compromised. The cable supports common broadcast and pro-AV standards for streamlined system integration.
Installation and handling are simplified by a 6cm maximum bend radius and a 15kg maximum pull tension rating. The slim cable body and conduit-friendly head profile facilitate routing through cable trays and conduit while maintaining robust signal performance.
