The C3-340 CORIOmatrix chassis is a modular, firmware-driven scaling matrix switcher designed to provide flexible, high-quality video routing and conversion. It deploys tvONE’s CORIO2 conversion technology and CORIOsoftswitch firmware for software-based routing and conversion. The unit accepts modular AV I/O cards so I/O capacity and formats can be tailored to project requirements.
This chassis supports up, down and cross conversion when fitted with scaling output modules and provides 16 AV module slots in the standard 4RU frame with expansion capability. The system supports Universal DVI modules, SDI modules and HDBaseT output modules, and includes a resolution editor for custom timing creation. Signal parameters on input sources can be adjusted and all settings are retained in non-volatile memory.
Video processing uses full 4:4:4 sampling for RGB/DVI/HDMI and 4:2:2 for SDI ensuring accurate color reproduction and sharp images. The CORIOmatrix includes pixel-level motion adaptive diagonal interpolation, noise reduction for PAL/NTSC/1080i and 3:2 pulldown for proper film cadence extraction. The platform supports a maximum sampling rate of 162MHz and firmware is upgradeable via micro-SD.
Control and monitoring are provided via RS-232, TCP/IP and an integrated web browser user interface for fast, intuitive operation. AMX and Crestron programming modules are supported and a command line interface enables third party control integration. An optional monitoring card provides configurable thumbnails and confidence monitoring on single or dual displays and embedded digital audio metering.
Audio routing is integral and supports de-embed/embed of SDI and HDMI signals; an optional audio module adds AES and analog/digital breakout plus delay and integration with external audio breakout units. The chassis accepts hot-swappable redundant PSU options and includes a standard power inlet that auto-detects 110V to 240V. The unit ships as chassis only; AV cards are sold separately.
The C3-340 chassis is aimed at professional AV, broadcast and control room installations where scalable I/O, multi-format conversion and centralized control are required. Its rackmount form factor, firmware-upgradeable architecture and optional redundant power provide a reliable platform for long-term system deployments. Installation is straightforward for AV integrators and the non-volatile configuration memory reduces system reset time after power cycles.
