The CORIOview C2-6204 is a 4-window SDI multiviewer designed to place up to four scalable video windows onto a single DVI-I or 3G-SDI output. It uses four independent CORIO2 scaling engines to provide picture-in-picture flexibility and per-window control. The unit supports SD, HD and 3G-SDI resolutions up to 1080p60.
Each input window is powered by a full CORIO2 scaler offering variable zoom to 10X and shrink to 10% with precise positional controls. The processor includes motion-adaptive de-interlacing and noise reduction for interlaced sources, color borders, source labeling and colored audio activity bars. Four on-board still image stores and ten user-definable presets simplify layout recall and source replacement.
Video I/O includes four re-clocked 3G-SDI BNC inputs with loop-thru plus one DVI-I input that can be used as a background, cascade input or an additional window source. Outputs include one DVI-I and a duplicate 3G-SDI output capable of delivering 1080p60. The unit supports digital and analog DVI modes including RGBHV, RGBS, RGsB and YPbPr and can accept PC resolutions to 2048×2048 in analog mode.
Control and integration options include front panel LCD and push buttons, RS-232/RS-422/RS-485 serial control and Ethernet TCP/IP for remote management. The CORIO Tool Suite integrates with the unit and third-party control systems commonly used in broadcast and AV installations. Optional factory-fit modules provide tally and UMD support over RS-422/485 with TSL 3.1 compatibility.
Typical applications include broadcast monitoring walls, OB vans, control rooms and signal monitoring racks where multiple SDI sources must be viewed simultaneously. The device is useful for monitoring multiple camera feeds, playout channels or auxiliary signals on a single screen while preserving per-source audio activity and labeling. Cascading multiple units expands the number of displayed sources for larger monitoring systems.
The C2-6204 ships in a 1RU chassis with rack ears and accepts 110-240V mains power for global deployments. All settings are stored in non-volatile memory and ten user presets enable rapid reconfiguration on site. The front panel LCD and menu structure simplify setup and routine operation while the robust metal enclosure is suited to continuous professional use.
