The AdderView CATx 4000-series KVM switch provides simultaneous local and remote control for multiple users – engineered to manage up to 16 multi-platform computers while supporting four concurrent users. It uses CATx cabling to combine USB keyboard and mouse control with full video and optional audio switching. The compact 1U form factor simplifies rack integration and reduces footprint in server room environments.
Key features include user access control, computer access module support, and full keyboard remapping to ensure cross-platform compatibility. The unit supports up to 16 user profiles and configurable access rights to allocate permissions as required. Cascade capability enables expansion to larger systems by linking additional units over CATx cable.
Video performance supports resolutions up to 1920 x 1200 at 60Hz and includes DDC emulation via connected CAM modules for resilient EDID handling. Audio is optional via audio-enabled CAMs and supports 44.1kHz stereo when configured. KVM communication to target devices is supported to 50m standard and can be extended to 300m using an ADDERLink X200 or X100 receiver.
Connectivity covers RJ45 computer ports, local console HDD15 video, USB type A keyboard/mouse, and 3.5mm stereo jack for audio. CAMs are available for USB, PS/2 and Sun MiniDin8 interfaces and are flash upgradeable to ensure ongoing compatibility. Additional control is provided via an options port for RS232 power control and DB9 connectors for upgrade and sync functions.
Typical deployments include server rooms, operations centers, and control desks that require multi-user access to a mix of platforms. The unit is suitable for environments that need centralized keyboard/mouse/video/audio switching and controlled user access. Cascading and extender support make it useful where distributed rack locations or remote receivers are part of the infrastructure.
Installation is straightforward – one unit occupies 1U of rack height and uses standard CAT5e or CAT6 patching for connections. Firmware and CAMs are flash upgradeable to simplify maintenance and feature updates. The switch is CE and FCC compliant and designed for reliable continuous operation in standard IT environments.

Air shipments, Overnight, 2nd day and 3 day select methods offer guaranteed delivery time for your shipment. If you are in hurry or in need for the items on schedule, select one of these methods. Up-to-date tracking information is provided with each Air Shipment. AVProSupply has the right to choose between Air shipments to meet or reduce delivery time.
