The AVSC1104 is a 4 port analogue secure KVM switch designed to share a single keyboard, video and mouse between segregated systems while preserving data separation and physical security. It provides secure smartcard reader sharing and hardened hardware controls to prevent data leakage across networks. The unit is engineered for classified and high-security environments where TEMPEST and Common Criteria assurances are required.

Core features include tamper resistant construction, hardwired unidirectional data paths and front panel only channel selection. The device implements data diode style isolation on critical peripheral paths and powers down peripherals during switching to mitigate hidden peripheral malware. The unit minimizes software reliance by using one-time programmable storage for security-critical areas.

Approved to TEMPEST standards and EAL4+ Common Criteria, the AVSC1104 supports analog VGA video up to 1920 x 1200 at 60Hz and USB HID keyboard and mouse connectivity. Smartcard reader sharing is supported via a dedicated USB smartcard interface. Electromagnetic shielding and screened cabling guidance reduce the risk of emissions-based eavesdropping.

Connectivity includes HD-15 VGA, USB HID for keyboard and mouse and a USB smartcard interface at the transmitter side, plus shielded system link cables for each connected host. The switch is compatible with PS/2 and USB host platforms and is supported across major operating systems including Windows, Linux, Unix and Mac OS. Recommended shielded cables include part codes VSCD5, VSCD6, VSCD7 and VSCD9.

Typical applications are classified environments, cross-domain access points and secure control rooms where red/black separation and hardware enforced isolation are mandatory. The AVSC1104 is suitable for any installation requiring certified TEMPEST and Common Criteria protection while maintaining standard VGA/USB peripheral support. The compact metal enclosure provides extensive internal and external shielding and tamper-resistant design elements to reduce unauthorized probing. Channel switching is performed only via the front panel buttons to ensure physical port identification and remove host-controlled switching methods. The unit accepts 100-240V AC 47/63Hz power and operates in standard room-temperature environments 0 to 40 degrees C.
